When peanut butter and jelly sandwiches started arriving on restaurant menus as grilled entrees, Terry Boyd from Blue Kitchen wasn’t buying it quite yet. ”I was more than a little surprised when peanut butter and jelly sandwiches started showing up in restaurants, not on the kids’ menu, but as grilled entrées adults were expected to pay grown-up prices for. Seriously? Of course, I had to try my hand at it and see what the fuss was all about.”
The result: Boyd successfully created a delicious grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich that is kicked up a notch thanks to a homemade strawberry jalapeño jam. We’re still not suggesting you pay restaurant prices for a PB&J, but there is definitely something to this take on a kids classic.
